On March 8, Ambassador Emmanuel Mignot and head of inter-university and research cooperation Gabriel Voisin-Moncho visited the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry of the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
During the meeting with Rector Ülle Jaakma and Toomas Tiirats, director of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, and our French students studying veterinary medicine, the university's field of activity as a whole, as well as our cooperation with French universities, were of interest to the guests.
Ambassador Mignot is interested in horses and equestrian sports, and therefore wanted to learn more about the field of veterinary medicine and the work of a horse clinic. Among other things, he asked our students how difficult it is to come from France to Estonia to study veterinary medicine.
The French Embassy wants to further promote research and higher education cooperation between the two countries. As a first step, it was agreed that the mobility program designed to support student migration between Estonia and France will be introduced to our students at the career fair next week (March 20).
Ambassador Emmanuel Mignot wants to visit the Estonian University of Life Sciences again soon to get acquainted with the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries in the field of forestry science and forestry education.
It is important that the French ambassador's visit to the Estonian University of Life Sciences was organized by Hyraco - our school's association of equine medicine students. Hyraco's contribution to the organization of this valuable event is significant and deserves recognition. We highly appreciate Hyraco's contribution and would like to thank all members for their valuable work that helps promote our university and its students internationally.
