From October 10th to 12th, the Second International Traumatology Congress took place in Tartu, bringing together veterinary professionals and students from across Europe. The three-day event provided a valuable opportunity to deepen knowledge on handling animal trauma and emergency care.
The congress opened with hands-on workshops covering emergency resuscitation, thoracic surgery, ultrasound, and wound repair techniques. Participants were able to practice new methods and improve their existing skills.
The following days focused on in-depth lectures on trauma care, delivered by internationally recognized experts from the USA, the Netherlands, Romania, the UK, and Estonia. These sessions provided practical solutions and insights for veterinary professionals.
Attendees came from various European countries, including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Romania, and Greece. The event concluded with the handover of next year’s congress, which will be held in Istanbul in 2025.
