Admission is opened to a 6-years programme of Veterinary Medicine and 2-years Master programmes, named Landscape Architecture, Planning and Analysis in Multifunctional Forestry and Environmental Governance and Adaption to Climate Change.

According to Ina Järve, Head of the Academic Affairs Department of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, foreign students value studying at the University of Life Sciences highly. "On the one hand, they are satisfied with the content and level of our curricula. After all, the university is one of the top 100 universities in the world in the field of agriculture and forestry (QS World University Rankings by Subject). Placed 45th by last year's QS ranking. On the other hand, the student-friendliness and pleasant community are praised, which makes studying here a safe and pleasant experience," said Järve.

Almost 300 foreign students (including PhD students) are currently studying at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, making up about 10 percent of the total number of students. "The majority of our foreign students are, of course, Finns, for whom Tartu has been a highly valued place to study veterinary medicine for many years. However, in recent years, our study groups have become even more international, and students come here from many countries around the world."

More and more complicated political situation in the world has also made issuing visas to Estonia more time-consuming. Therefore, if you wish to study, we recommend that you start completing the necessary documents as soon as possible. It is easiest to get a residence permit for citizens of the common visa area of the European Union (Schengen). Also for citizens of the USA, Great Britain, Canada, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Japan, South Korea and other countries where the Republic of Estonia has an embassy.

Admission for citizens of European Union countries, Switzerland, Great Britain, Georgia and Turkey is open until May 31. Applicants from outside the European Union can apply until April 10 (for veterinary medicine until May 2).
