The MOVE symposium was one of the international conferences held in Tartu in 2025, whose contribution was highlighted at a joint thank-you event organized by the city of Tartu and the Estonian Conference Bureau.
In addition, Evelin Loit-Harro, professor at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, was awarded the title of Tartu Conference Ambassador, and the International Conference Biosystems Engineering 2025, organized by the Estonian University of Life Sciences, was highlighted among the flagship conferences.
The 3rd MOVE Symposium organized by the Estonian University of Life Sciences brought 245 participants from 36 countries to Tartu, 210 of whom were foreign delegates. The international scientific event focused on the role of extracellular vesicles in disease mechanisms and treatment and brought leading researchers in their field from different countries to Tartu. The symposium's high-level scientific program and broad international reach were recognized for their exemplary conference organization.
The event's organizing team included Professor Alireza Fazeli from the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Signe Parts, Subhashini Muhandiram, Amita Kulina, and Deep Bhattacharya. The conference was organized in cooperation with Publicon OÜ, whose professional support contributed to the smooth running of the event.
The award was presented at a thank-you event organized by the City of Tartu and the Estonian Conference Bureau. The international conferences held in Tartu in 2025 were highlighted, as they have helped to increase the city's international visibility and strengthen its position as a city of science and conferences. International conferences also make a significant economic contribution to Tartu – in 2025, international conference events held in Tartu brought over 4,000 foreign visitors to the city.
