Märja Experimental Farm Livestock Manager Hannelore Kiiver-Pärk Recognised as Best Breeder

The traditional livestock show, held at the Estonian Agricultural Museum, showcased Estonian livestock breeding and recognised the work of livestock farmers and breeders. Märja Experimental Farm was represented by three cows, one from each breed kept at the farm, as well as two Estonian Holstein calves.

One of the highlights of the day was the recognition of outstanding breeders. The award received by Hannelore Kiiver-Pärk highlights the consistent work carried out at Märja Experimental Farm in breeding Estonian Holstein cattle and developing the herd.

The show also gave visitors an opportunity to learn more about the animals at Märja Experimental Farm and the activities of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. Two Estonian Holstein calves attracted particular attention, with visitors invited to suggest names for them throughout the day.

Tõuloom is a long-standing event that brings together livestock farmers, breeders and livestock enthusiasts from across Estonia in Ülenurme. This year, visitors had the opportunity to see cattle, horses, sheep, poultry, rabbits, alpacas and dogs, as well as observe a range of activities related to livestock farming.
