The purpose of this international architectural design competition is to identify the best architectural solution for the new clinical teaching building of the University’s Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. The future facility should integrate seamlessly into the university campus, form a functional complex with the existing building, and meet high architectural and spatial standards.

According to the official decision of the public procurement committee, all submitted entries and participants were found to meet the conditions set out in the procurement documents. The works have been sent to the jury for assessment.

The jury is expected to take approximately one month to review the entries and make its decision. Four prizes will be awarded:

  • 1st prize – €13,000
  • 2nd prize – €10,000
  • 3rd prize – €8,000
  • 4th prize – €6,000

As the project concerns a significant building not only for the University but also for the urban fabric of Tartu, the jury has been composed of distinguished experts. The jury will evaluate the proposals collegially, based on the principle of consensus.
