The One Health-BOOST (OH-Boost) Project aims to enhance research and innovation excellence at the Estonian University of Life Sciences and Tartu University in the field of One Health. The project partners with the University of Helsinki and the University of Milan to strengthen research capacity and improve management in this crucial area.
One Health is a research domain focused on the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. It plays a vital role in preventing and responding to global health threats, emphasizing how humans and animals share the essentials of life, including the genome, disease-causing organisms, and the environment.
To achieve this goal, EMU collaborates with the University of Tartu, which provides human health expertise, complementing EMU's focus on animal health and the environment. This collaboration ensures that One Health topics are explored from a multidisciplinary perspective. The OH-Boost project aims to elevate One Health research in Estonia, increase international visibility, and build long-term capacity through joint efforts with the University of Helsinki and University of Milan.
